Sanaghagara
( 6 kms) On N.H.6 , Sanaghagara, a small and charming waterfall ( 30.5 mtrs)
is ideal for outing.
BADAGHAGARA ( 10 kms ) It id yet another small
but exciting waterfall( 61 mtrs ) and popular as a picnic spot.
KANJIPANI ( 30 kms) On N.H.6,it is a place of
great scenic beauty.
HANDIBHANGA (50 kms ) A magnificent waterfall
of 61 mtrs , high amidst lush greenery of nature. Handibhanga is an ideal
place for outing. The place is approachable from Keonjhar via Palasapanga.

KHANDADHAR ( 60 kms ) A
sparkling waterfall of 152 mtrs, high, caged inside the wooded hills,
Khandadhar is ideal for picnic and pleasure.
GONASIKA ( 33kms ) Surrounded by a series of
valleys and wooded hills of varying colours, Gonasika is a place of uncommon
scenic charms as well as a place of pilgrimage for the temple of Brahmeswar
Mahadev situated on the origin of river Vaitarani. A little away from its
point of origin, the river goes under ground and called Gupta Ganga and is
seen after a shot distance over a stone projection looking like the nostril
of a cow. |
MURGA MAHADEVA ( 70 kms) Located by the side of
a perennial spring that cascades down the slopes of Thakurani hill, the
place claims celebrity for the honoured shrine of Murga Mahadev. It is
approachable from Keonjhar via - IPITATA Sponge Iron Factory ( Bileipada ).
SATABINJI ( 30 kms ) On the river Sita, the
place has gained popularity for the ancient fresco paintings on a rock
shelter called " Ravan Chhaya " that locks like a half opened
umbrella.

DEOGAON- KUSHALESWAR ( 90 KMS)
On the river Kusei near Anandapur, the temple of Kushaleswar built in (900
A.D.) is a famous centre of pilgrimage .Another important monument of the
place is the stone embankment on the river which is the second of its kind
in the state.
GHATAGAON (50kms ) On the State Highway No.11
towards Cuttack the place is known through the state for the sacred shrine
of Goddess Tarini. Thousands of devotees gather here daily for darshan of
the Mother Goddess.
PODASINGIDI (100kms ) Podasingidi, only 20 kms
from Anandapur has the reminiscence of a jain monastery. The scenic beauty
of nearby Gadachndi and Chakratirtha attracts group picnickers. |
